Short version: we store the handle you put on the wall, whatever you typed with it, and a few numbers that keep the site from falling over. We never see your card.
What we store
- The listing: the platform, the handle, the public profile URL, the avatar URL, and the optional display name and tagline submitted with it. All of this is public — it's the product.
- The payment record: the amount, the Stripe checkout session and payment intent IDs, the time, and the version of the terms you agreed to. If you give Stripe an email at checkout, we store that email so we can reach you about your listing.
- A hashed IP address: we hash your IP with a secret salt and keep only the first 32 characters. It's used for rate limiting, for counting a click once per hour, and for fraud checks. We do not store raw IP addresses.
- Your browser's user agent on payment and free listing requests, for abuse detection.
- Counts: clicks per listing, and anonymous visitor and "online now" counts.
What we never store
Card numbers, CVCs, bank details, or anything else about how you paid. Stripe handles payments end to end and we only ever see the identifiers Stripe gives us. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to what they collect.
Cookies
fw_vid— a first-party visitor cookie holding a random ID. It powers the visitor and "online now" counters. It isn't tied to your name, email or card.- Anonymous analytics (page views and basic performance data) via Vercel Analytics. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies, no third-party ad pixels.
Who else sees it
Stripe (payments), Neon (database hosting) and Vercel (site hosting and analytics) process data on our behalf. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Profiles on the wall
Listings may be submitted for any public profile, including by someone other than the profile owner. We display only publicly available information. If a profile is yours and you want it removed, email us and we'll take it down — see the terms.
Deleting your data
Email hello@famewall.lol and we'll remove your listing and any personal details attached to it. We keep the payment record itself, because tax and chargeback rules require it. Deleting a listing does not refund it.
